Ask the well.

Questions become episodes. Send one.

Some of the best episodes begin as a letter: a question one person actually has, answered properly for everyone. If you have one, send it. Anything from any of the nine domains — the body, the craft, the signal, the land, the ledger, the law, the word, the wolf, the mirror — and the crossings between them.

Write a letter

That opens a plain email to keeper@wellofnine.com. There is no form because there is nothing to fill in but the question.

What happens to it

  • Letters are read, not answered privately. The ones that become episodes are answered in the open, for everyone who had the same question and did not write.
  • Your name is never used. If a letter is quoted, it is anonymized and may be edited for length or to remove anything that could identify you.
  • Sending a letter is your permission for that. If you do not want it quoted at all, say so in the letter and it will be treated as background only.

What the well cannot do

It cannot answer an emergency, a personal medical question, or a legal question about your own case. If someone is hurt, call your local emergency number. If it is your case, call a lawyer where you live. The disclaimer is not decoration; it is the line the whole project is built on.
